What is Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)?

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is an advanced, minimally invasive hair restoration technique designed to restore hair density without leaving a linear scar. During the procedure, individual follicular units containing 1 to 4 hairs are extracted directly from the numbed donor area using specialized micro-instruments, eliminating the need for scalpels or stitches. Dr. Contractor then creates precise micro-incisions in the thinning areas, carefully matching your natural hair angle and direction. Single-hair grafts are positioned along the front hairline for a seamless transition, while multi-hair grafts are placed behind it to build optimal volume and thickness.

Recovery is swift, with tiny extraction marks healing in just a few days and most patients returning to normal activities within 48 hours. The transplanted hairs shed after two to four weeks as the roots settle into place, followed by new growth starting around month three. Patients generally notice cosmetic density by month six, reaching full, mature results between 12 and 14 months.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a MUHG procedure in March.  This was actually my 3rd. hair transplant procedure with PAI.  The 1st was 15 years ago, then again 10 years ago and now my 3rd. Over the years I lost more of my native hair which is why I had the 3rd transplant. Dr. G. performed all 3 procedures and I trust his expertise completely.  I was totally pleased with the results from the prior procedures and I know it works. I’m still waiting for the transplanted hairs to grow which will take a few more months and I’m sure I’ll be happy with the results.
